Estimated storage numbers

Any storage or “space freed” figure in Space Swipe is estimated. Phones report bytes differently than cloud services, media can be optimized after the fact, and some formats vary by capture settings.

What “estimated” means for you

• Trends matter more than exact bytes: clearing a large video should show a meaningful drop even if the precise number differs slightly from Settings ▸ General ▸ iPhone Storage.
• Duplicates and similar shots may share underlying data; estimates describe what you would expect to recover, not a forensic audit.
