Delete queue and confirmation
Staged deletes, explicit confirmation, and recovering from mistakes before you commit.
When you mark items for removal, they are staged in a delete queue first. Permanent deletion happens only after you explicitly confirm, matching how iOS expects photo removal to work.
Why staging exists
- You can revisit the queue, change your mind, and remove items from the queue before anything is deleted.
- Confirmation is always a deliberate step so accidental swipes do not erase memories.
After you confirm
Confirmed deletes go through Apple’s Photos APIs. If you use iCloud Photos, removals follow your iCloud settings the same as deleting from the Photos app.
